Popular rich people, kissing
I am uniquely unqualified to talk about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. I can’t name a single Taylor Swift song, being more of a Top-40 guy from the late sixties (think The Beatles and The Boxtops, the Rolling Stones and Aretha); and my knowledge of football is on par with my grasp of particle physics and dressmaking. Nonetheless, I’ll weigh in (light) on the most recent nuttery that these two are part of a Woke-Deep State conspiracy (to do what I’m still as unclear as I am about the consecutive on-side kick rule).
The CIA is going to fix the Superbowl, the Kelce and Swift’s romance is a cleverly conceived communist Psy-Op, and the Telletubbies are micro-chipping your kids via telekinetic mass hypnosis.
I have an hypothesis about this. This is an attempt by Donald Trump’s dark servants and indentured media to see just how fatuous they can become before they reach their base’s outer limit of credulity. Like a scientist observing a Petri dish to determine how big a circle of bacteria are wiped out by speck of bread mold, or the Milgram shock experiments. The profound irony here is that they are optimizing their mental manipulation apparatus with the claim that Kelce and Swift—by all accounts political milquetoasts—are part of a vast deep-cover mental manipulation apparatus.
They may have found a limit this time, as many of the epistemological captives of the Trump cult are actually a hell of a lot more familiar with football than I am; which means they may disagree with Kelce’s conservative Democratic politics, but they have a strong and intuitive grasp of how difficult it might be for the CIA or the lizard people to script and manage the plays of the Kansas City Chiefs in the sturm und drang of an NFL playoff.
Now the Stephen Miller’s and Sean Hannity’s of Trump’s slavish propaganda harem will simply let this silliness drift, having capturing the fraction that’s off their Thorazine and Prolixin and finding the outer limit of Trump base gullability, and return to immigrant-bashing—the tried and true mainstay of the reactionary playbook.

Like Bannon said, flood the zone with bullshit.
