It was at the Church of St. Rita (patron saint of impossible causes & abused women) in Portland. The family were working class conservative Catholic. When I walked into the sanctuary, there was an American flag on the wall. After the introduction, the bride's mother called for prayers for the STATE. This deeply distressed me.
